Current Volunteer Opportunities to Help During the Pandemic on Maryland’s Eastern Shore
Organizations that help the community are in need of volunteers now more than ever during these uncertain times. COVID-19, of course, complicates things as well; this is why we encourage individuals to make sure that volunteer opportunities are safe for oneself and others before taking them on. It’s important not to cause more harm than good.
Luckily, most local institutions appear to be implementing stringent mask and social-distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus. We’ve compiled some current volunteer opportunities in the Salisbury region below: whether you feel called to provide shelter for those in need, empower citizens to end poverty, help out at a radio show, guide youngsters as a big brother or big sister, or get involved with a budding organization that aims to provide enrichment activities for kids, we believe you’ll find a good option waiting. Of course, everyone loves public radio, and that’s on there too.
Learn more about each opportunity through the links below. If you don’t see something that speaks to you, rest assured that there are many more options to help out here in the Salisbury area. Thanks for helping make the Delmarva Peninsula a better place for all!
