The base engine of the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe lineup, which comes standard with a 2019 Santa Fe SE and 2019 Santa Fe SEL, is a 2.4-liter Theta-II GDI inline 4-cylinder engine offering up to 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway. The next two trim levels – the 2019 Santa Fe SEL Plus and the 2019 Santa Fe Limited – feature a standard 2.0-liter Theta-II Turbo 4-cylinder engine offering up to 235 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway. Last but certainly not least, the 2019 Santa Fe Ultimate and 2019 Santa Fe 2.2D trim levels feature an all-new standard 2.2-liter Turbodiesel R inline 4-cylinder engine offering up to 190 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque while getting up to 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway.
